We have recently worked with Duedil to create a comprehensive study into the performance of companies local to tube lines and stations in London.
The infographic below was designed to illustrate the average annual turnover per tube station across London Underground Zone 1.
The study reveals that companies located on the Bakerloo line represent both the highest average annual turnover and the highest average turnover growth.
Every tube line achieved an average annual growth rate of at least 15% and the average across all lines was 18.69%.
The study reveals that the average annual growth rate for businesses in Zone 1 is above that of the rest of the UK, which has an average annual growth rate of 13.64%.
Waterloo is the winner when it comes to individual stations, with an average annual turnover of £2,536,771,284 (£2.53 billion). This is perhaps unsurprising considering its close proximity to Royal Dutch Shell Group Plc and its subsidary, Shell Trading International Limited.
Bayswater is the station with the highest average annual growth rate of 77.75%.
The Waterloo & City line was excluded from the study as it consists of only two stops (including Waterloo), which does not provide a representative sample relative to the other Tube lines.
